In my still-extant search for a good book about the history of Mac OS X, I rediscovered Tower’s visual history of macOS. It’s a great walk through the major release of the OS.

Panther stands out to me as my favorite release; I think it was the first version that seemed fast and the wrinkles, such as they were for me, had been ironed out.
